Mr. Ven Sophorn - Curator, Angkor National Museum
He has had wealth of experiences with a good heart and outstanding knowledge to share to all visitors in the fields of Archaeology and Ancient Arts in the Angkor National Museum. Especially, he has provided an excellent services in terms of lectures and museum tours to the customers as an expertise of the organization. Moreover, he has gained creditable works from his professional career path over eight years in the world heritage site of Angkor as an archaeologist and social researcher for APSARA Authority. For his educational background, he graduated in Bachelor Degree in Archaeology in the year 2000 from the Royal University of Fine Arts, Phnom Penh, Cambodia before proceeding to complete his postgraduate degree in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology at Visva- Bharati, Santiniketan, West-Bengal, India. Besides, in 2005, he got an award of Dr. A.P. Khatri Award, Center for Research and Training in History, Archaeology and Palaeo-environment, joint with the Indraprastha Museum of Arts and Archaeology and the Indian Archaeological Society, New Delhi. Other achievements could also be seen from his several lectures for the local and international academic students.
